We all live and work in indoor environments that are controlled to provide reasonable and appropriate conditions suitable for whatever activities happen there. Some of us are very familiar with how building systems work and some of us are not yet as familiar. We probably all have some degree of experience using HVAC systems in our apartments or homes but may not know how they work or what the different parts and pieces are.
Regardless of how much you know about HVAC systems or creating comfortable interior environments, since Swegon North America exists to help our customers make the world a quieter, more comfortable, and safer world through the building systems products and designs we offer, we all can benefit from a better and deeper understanding of what our customers do and why they do it.
Some of us deal daily with designers and engineers who are responsible for these systems and the more we understand the systems they are designing, the better we can help them and the better we can see opportunities to increase our scope of work and build deeper relationships with them.
In this session, Karl will give an overview of what HVAC&R means, what it is, why it exists, and how we’re a part of it both as consumers and producers. We’ll unlock the acronym and explain the who, what, where, why, and how of building mechanical systems. It’ll be meant as both an introductory session for those with little knowledge of HVAC&R systems as well as a review for those who may already have some education, training, or experience in the wonderful world of HVAC&R.
